When you pay more than £2000 for a sofa you expect to receive it, if not within the time promised, at least assembled and properly delivered. I waited for 12 weeks to receive 2 large sofas i had ordered, although they had received them on the 2nd of august, they were only delivered on the 22nd of august, because they had a problem with the "system" that was not inputting my sofas for delivery!! after about 5 phone calls, and after i begged them to do it manually and spoke to oh so many "customer service", have they accepted to ask a manager to input the delivery manually.
And finally the delivery date had arrived! Now, I am not what you would call an unfit person, and i have done my fair share of furniture assembly, but you can imagine my surprise when the 2 extremely large sofas came in 4 boxes that even 3 delivery men could barely lift!! I spoke again to customer service before accepting the delivery, and although i told assured them that i would have NEVER bought these sofas, had the salesperson on the kings road shop not promised that they will be delivered completely assembled. And of course, the "customer service", if you could call them that, very calmly told me that Habitat do not assemble furniture and that I would need to speak myself to the store manager on Kings road and tell them that their salesperson made a mistake ... that was very helpful indeed...
In conclusion, when you are paying a fortune for a sofa, the least you would expect from the company that manufactured them is to deliver them ready to use! I have learned my lesson, and I hope that you will find this review helpful before ordering any sofas from Habitat.
