Sales arrived to give a quote for windows then I decided to get two new doors as well.
There was a small understanding about the deposit but this was over come very quickly. We were not told about this until he was walking out the door.
Called very soon after that to start again with the sale.
WE decided to go with CR Smith.

We were still not 100% sure on what front door we wanted so decided to go through to the Dunfermline show room for a look. So glad we did as we saw exactly what we were getting.

I loved the front door designs as the design would suit my property a old cottage. 5 windows and 2 doors. With double returns. Attic class replaced. What impressed me was the quality of the wood. Safety in the doors and windows. Plus 10 year guarantee!

Day of installation two joiners on the first day were the best I have dealt with such respect and appreciation for the property. They had dust sheets all through the house even where they were walking there was dust sheets. They managed most of the windows on the first day. Left the second day one window and back and front door. Plus we had other joiner on second day as there was a lot of work still to do. They tidied up every where they went. The work man ship was faultless.

A good supply of tea and coffee, cake and yes bacon rolls kept the cold weather out.

On completion every thing looked great. The windows look terrific. Two door are fabulous. Joiners tidied up every thing they could. Just a bit of dust to clear away considering all windows and doors have been replaced. My front door looks fantastic!! The house looks like a new one.

Checked windows with the joiners. All looked fine.

But when I further inspected I noticed a few tweaks nothing major though I can assure you. Phoned CR Smith they resolved matter. Different work men came out. Thought every thing was fine. Then not 100% other phone call then the joiners that fitted the doors and windows came back out the the house again. They resolved the matters in the professional manner they have always done.

Then the painter arrived. This was not the best job he left a few nail heads showing, left bits out. he did not have steps or nail head and hammer to push nails in!! Was a bit grumpy about my double returns and that it was varnish and not wax (not my fault) he should have kept his thoughts to him self on that matter. Plus he moaned he has loads more to do today. Not all his fault may be lack of communication with the office with facts on whats what with my installation.
This was the reason I did not give 5 out of 5 stars. Few weeks later other painter arrived he finished what he started and done a wonderful job even noticed other nail head I did not see! Would I recommend CR Smith off course I would.
