I ordered a new Blunt KOS scooter for my son's birthday. After wrestling with the rather prescriptive website, the time for guranteeing next day delivery had passed. Galling but to make sure of the delivery for the day after, I paid the extra £10 for guaranteed delivery before 12.
On the day of delivery, I received a message to say that the delivery driver had not been able to find the address.
I do not accept this. The delivery address is one of only 3 houses in a lane. Asking anyone in the very small village, at the pub or garage, would have pointed the driver at the address. It seems bizarre that a driver would come all the way out to a village and not avoid a return trip ! In any case, his / her lack of initiative (if they actually arrived at all!) meant that my son's birthday present arrived the day after his birthday.
To be fair, your company refunded the additional £10 without hesitation. However, I am left with the overall feeling of having been badly let down in what should be a straightforward transaction.
Any good work undertaken by your very helpful staff, and the quality of the product etc, is overshadowed by a failure to deliver on your promises
Price and product quality are givens so your only differentiator is your customer service. Having failed on this one key indicator, I would neither use you again nor recommend you. Quite the opposite. Other suppliers are available I would look for one that does what it says, or compensates properly for not doing so
