“'Bad at Every Step'”

I have been with Virgin Media for the last Year and I must say it has been terrible at every step. Here's a list of things that went wrong:

1. Setting up the contract was quick and easy, that said, they conveniently forgot to warn about the connection charge,which was almost double the monthly subscription itself.

2. Throughout the subscription I would receive spam mail regarding mobile phone deals around once a week, which was frustrating.

3. My e-mail inbox was constantly spammed and still is even after cancelling the contract.

4. The internet was fast, when it worked, but was unreliable and would have to be reset 2/3 times a day.

4. They charged me for an extra month after cancellation even though I gave them a full month's warning.

5. I was charged £24.72 for a contract termination fee, even though my cancellation fully followed the rules of the contract.

6. The 'Customer Service' was appalling, firstly from the need of having to wade through 15 minutes of robots onto to talk to someone who didn't understand English and tried to sell me every virgin product under the sun before listening to my problem.

7. My 'final bill' (a month after I had cancelled my contract) stated that I was due back £18 but was being charged £24 for 'contract termination fees.' When I finally managed to correct their £24 mistake I probably had spent about £18 on my phone bill, but it was a matter of principal by that point.

So in short, if you want to be constantly spammed, be subject to close to the worst customer service there is and be charged extortionate amounts to end the contract Then Virgin Media is the one for you.

I recommend ANYTHING else.
