“Another "Queue Gardens"”

Written on: 06/08/2013 by Kraggy (11 reviews written)

We went to Legoland Windsor this weekend just gone, Four adults and six kids in total. The layout is practically the same as any other attraction theme park. Entry is expensive as is the food you will have to buy. This park milks money out of customers for all it is worth. As well as the entry fee, you pay for parking, drinks, food and inevitably, Lego toy shops. I saw some Lego sets at well over the £300 mark, what???
There are plenty of rides however, mainly aimed at smaller children. My main gripe (as well as many other customers) was the queues. We queued for over an hour for two minute rides (average time). You are herded like human cattle along narrow walkways that snake backwards and forwards and it honestly is not worth it. You spend that hour trying to keep your children under control, being hustled and bustled and end up with aching feet! All for a very short ride.

The place was way too overcrowded to actually enjoy being there and it is very easy to lose a child. I really do think that Legolands main priority is raking in money rather than customer satisfaction, and boy does it show. I found mini-land quite good, though you have to stop children walking where they shouldn't! The buildings are well constructed and a lot of time and effort has been spent there. The park appears to be sponsored by Fiat, who have cars on show as soon as you enter. There are subtle references to Fiat all round the park, so they want you to buy a car as well as spend all your money!!. All in all, if you must visit, be prepared to spend half your time queueing and take lots of money and patience. I would not have gone at all but for my children It was more relaxing writing this review than being there, to be honest! It would not bother me if I never to Legoland again.
