“Excellent Majestic Tour, July 2013”

My mum and I travelled Europe for 14 days on Star Tour's, Majestic Tour in July 2013. We both live in South Africa and heard about Star Tours through a local travel agent. The idea of a tour of Europe catering for the dietary and language needs of Indians sounded appealing. We were not disappointed. My initial impression of Star Tours was a good one; the administration aspect is commendable, with email or telephonic correspondences to queries within at most a day.
Despite both of us being frequent travellers, Star Tour's Majestic tour is one to remember. The coach itself is luxurious, fitted with all the necessities, making the trip comfortable and enjoyable.
We both had never travelled in a group, especially one as big as 48 people, however that really was one of the highlights of the trip, meeting people who had branched off into different parts of the world but whose roots remained in the same place.
This tour carries you trough numerous countries visiting the must sees and although it is not possible to see every tour site in each country visited, the tour gives you a flavour of each country, and Engelberg, Switzerland is definitely on my 're-visit' list. In addition, tours by knowledgeable guides were arranged, bringing the rich history of Rome and Florence alive.
One doesn't need to be concerned about the time spent on the coach, time flies by with movies, music, games or merely enjoying the scenic drive.
With regards to the food, a variety of fresh, tasty, authentic Indian food was provided daily, even though one may think that one may grow tired of such a menu...not me, I have no complaints of the flavoursome food provided and have left London a few kilos heavier and am not referring to the weight of my luggage.
Most of the hotels, much to my surprise were up to standard, clean, comfortable and inviting after a long day of touring.
Due to the excellent driving skills of Shaun, we were able to manoeuvre through the often busy traffic of Europe without incident.
Lastly, the person largely responsible for the success of this tour is undoubtedly the superb tour manager, Neeraj. Managing the needs and personalities of 48 people is not an easy task by any means but Neeraj performed it with an even temperament and a smile, showing respect to all from the elderly to the very young. His ability to relate to all ages and people of different background, with each having their own needs and expectations is commendable. He is knowledgeable as a guide, and highly organized. He is well spoken with a good grasp of the English language. He clearly takes his job seriously and conducts himself professionally. His excellent time management allowed us to see all that was promised and more.

Some advice:
1) Prepare well for the scorching heat of Italy and France (sun block, hats, light clothing, drinking water)
2) Be very aware of pick pockets

Stars Tours Majestic tour of Europe is a convenient, enjoyable and comfortable way of touring, one which I highly recommend.
