“Mortgage Redemption Certificate”

We have all but lost the sale of our house and the chain because Northern Rock have taken 5 days to issue a simple redemption certificate. Our buyers, who we know, got there's from Nationwide in 20 minutes! We've phoned them but there is no speeding them up, no reasoning with them at all.

It's not the lack if credit that is causing the slow housing market. It's stubborn mortgage companies being unflexible.
