“Complete Failure to deal with The Problem”

I ordered a toy box for my grand daughter - delivery time 12 weeks. !2 weeks passed, no delivery, no explanation, no communication - nothing. I contact next and they say they have no stock - well I knew that when I ordered, the stock was to arrive in 12 weeks! They were unable to tell me when they would be in stock, however, I could cancel the order!
No, I want the box, so I asked when will it be delivered, when will you be in stock - the response " I can't tell you".
I sent numerous emails without success, I phoned them at a cost of 5p per minute and gave up when I was kept waiting for ages. Then I receive a letter thanking me for informing them that I wish to cancel the order - I had done no such thing, in fact I has emphasized that I wanted the toy box delivered asap!
I sent further emails and had no response.
