Admin Team: Response time was excellent from the Admin team.
Just had a small problem understanding them, I guess accent problems.
Suggestion: It would be nice to receive a detailed itinerary on the day of travel or the day before travel.
Driver and Guide: The two most important people for the journey ahead.
Driver was careful, stuck to speed limit, helpful and friendly. We had the best guide ever Mr Dinshaw Bilimoria. Dinshaw planned the trip well in terms of timing. He made long journeys feel short. If you enjoy singing and Bollywood, his the tour guide to join. Dinshaw is humorous, very helpful, caring, knowledgeable and had excellent people management skills. He went the extra mile to assist people who had lost their important documents.
Food: Excellent Indian food, especially in Switzerland. Fortunately, curries are NOT too oily and NOT sweet. However, lunch packs served on 2 occasions, was not a good idea as food tends to go off by lunch time if it is very hot.
Suggestion: Sandwiches with salad and some fresh fruit might be a better option.
One western vegetarian dish ( representing each country’s popular dish) should be included for dinner every night.
High round tables would be a good idea for lunch in the open. One can put the plate on the table and eat while standing
Hotels & Tour: Most hotel’s were ok but The Ramada in Switzerland was the best hotel we stayed in. The tour was good for an overview of the various countries. “Busy, on the go tour” with a great deal to absorb in a short space of time. I felt that in some places we needed a bit more time and in others a little less time
Suggestion: A free day in Switzerland would be good idea. Being able to negotiate with the guide the day before on how much time to spend the next day may help a great deal
The Indian Tourist: It would help if tourists would speak to the driver, guide and other’s servicing them with manners. Try and use the magic words such as Please, Sorry, Thank You and Much Appreciated so as not to put other fellow tourists to embarrassment.
Also take other passengers into consideration and try and keep the noise level down in public places and on the bus. Finally try NOT to apply Indian time. It would help if people got back on time so that deadlines can be met and we have sufficient time for the next place of interest since we all have paid money to benefit ourselves.
London day tour was also excellent and well timed with Mr Hoshang Chinoy doing a brilliant job.
I will definitely be using the services of Star Tours to travel in the future.
