I recently stayed in the Jesmond Park Hotel Newcastle on Tyne
while I was visiting my uncle in the Freeman Hospital.
The owner was very nice and allowed me to use the sitting room while my room was being prepared. My flight from Dublin arrived in at seven thirty am so I had a lot of time to wait around. The room was ready by ten thirty with no extra cost for early check in.
My room was small but clean and had a tea making facility and TV.
I shared a bathroom which made my booking less expensive but my room had a wash hand basin.
Small hotel, more like a converted house, very clean, everyone very friendly and lovely breakfast included.
As I was travelling on my own, I felt very safe staying there.
The owner was very helpful with directions, ordering a cab to go to the hospital nearby.
It's within walking distance of restaurants and supermarket so very handy for those visiting the Freeman Hospital.
Taxi to the airport was fifteen pounds.
I recommend this hotel. It's cheap, clean, convenient and friendly.
