my debit card was declined although there were more than sufficient funds in my bank account.When ringing lloydsTsb i was told a new one had been issued (which they also said would take between 7-10 days delivery) because of the change over with bank.when i mentioned that surely the obvious thing to do would be to issue the new card before cancelling the old card and also it would save the humiliation and embarrassment of having your old card declined when trying to pay for something.After asking what i should now do that i have no access to money for the best part of the next ten days the bank told me all they could do was put my query forward to the complaints team and they would get back to me at a later date.Well here i am 6 days later still awaiting the return call from the complaints team oh and still no access to my bank account.I think it is absolutely scandalous, an apology over the phone is simply not good enough,and then to refer you to another department just to pass the buck is disgusting.
