Had the cheap mot done, its cheap because they make the money back on selling things you just dont need. Go to a mot only test station or a council run mot garage, they will only find real faults.
Halfrauds said my car needed discs, pads, rear springs, and some welding. They quoted around £800. I took the car elsewhere and it cost £160 including £50 test.
The mot test full fee is £54.85 it takes around 45-60 mins, if a garage offers you it cheaper ask yourself why?
Go to moneysavingexpert.com and look at the mot hints there, always get a second opinion and spend a little time researching and checking the simple stuff. try ukmot.com for more tips
