After over an hour waiting, the guy dropped the car by the reception.
When I opened the back door, the car was not in presentable conditions
and pretty dirty. I thought that was a joke but I kept my temperament down
and accepted to get into the car and go around the building for a "quick" car wash.
The guy took about 20 minutes to have the car cleaned and washed.
Then he drove to the reception, turned the engine off and
sent his colleague out for completion of the details such like damages, scratches etc and finally released the car keys for us to drive away.
....unfortunately this was just the beginning of a soap-opera.
I get into the car, turn the engine on and guess what?
Oh yeah, you got it right....the petrol was very very low,the red light was on.
My patience got to an end and when I raised the issues, our gentlemen told me in a very clear way to shut up and that the petrol was not a big issue as there were plenty of petrol stations DOWN THE ROAD. Did I hear well?
Are you serious?
Well, trust me ..you don't want to start driving around London Heathrow looking for a petrol station at 09:15 in the evening, with a very little girl when you don't know the area so well (and even if I knew the area, I would have not do it, as this was not the service we booked for). The guy was extremely unpleasant.
At that stage we walked away without the car and raised the issue up with our contractor who was shocked to hear how we have been treated by easirent in London Heathrow. Never found such a terrible, poor and extremely unprofessional service in my life. I would NOT recommend this car rental to anybody. By the way, in between, we tried to speak over the phone to the manager, who very kindly put the telephone down after my brother in law finished to list all the issues we faced that evening....of course he never called back. Good luck to him.
