“Best Booking Ever”

Written on: 05/07/2013 by JGill (1 review written)

I was lucky to have come across Tropical Sky as I have experienced one of the finest and most luxurious holidays ever, and at a very competitive price. The help we were given by the advisor at Tropical Sky was invaluable. All our needs were accommodated allowing us to relax and look forward to our 10 night break at The Taj in the Maldives. Everything ran like clock work from the minute we arrived until our departure. The resort was fabulous and the resort staff (including the personal butler) were attentive to all our needs. It's a perfect honeymoon location. The standard has been set now and I am hoping to rebook annually with Tropical Sky! We went in early June (the start of Monsoon) but we were only affected with bad weather for probably one day, but the temperature always remained consistent (28 to 30 degrees). The ocean pavilion dinner and a sunset cruise were extras thrown in by Tropical Sky, in addition to speed boat transfers to and from the resort. It all helped make the trip extra special and memorable. On one occasion the gifts we purchased were sent to the wrong room but that was swiftly rectified. We spent 7 nights in a lagoon villa and 3 nights in a beach villa. For privacy I think the lagoon villas are best as on the beach villas you do get passers by walking along the beach. It's a lot quieter in the lagoon villas. On our first night in the beach villa we met with a rather excitable couple celebrating their first anniversary....I thought there was a party going on next door. The Resort staff were very apologetic (as were the couple next door) and they did offer to relocate us. In our lagoon villa steps lead out into the Ocean. We did encounter one funny situation when I saw a random man in our plunge pool. My husband was convinced it was just a worker checking on things until his wife appeared too. They were snorkelling in the ocean and lost their bearings and took the steps up onto our decking. The couple felt pretty embarrassed and sent us a bottle of champagne on their last night. The food at the resort was phenomenal and I am looking forward to returning! Thanks once again to all at Tropical Sky, Ms J Gill
