Just been on the Pride of Bilbao on a Stag weekend and had a fantastic time!
I DONT do cruise's and was very sick on even the Dover to Calais crossing as a teen ager, I'm 32 now and only felt bad when we crossed the tip of the French coast into the bay of Biscay (which was the opposite of all the reviews, beautifully calm) the ship stayed very smooth for a day of so and we all enjoyed a sun bathe with the free sun loungers.
Food was of a very good standard but not cheap £10 for full English and £8.99 for a good variety of dinners with a desert. Drinks were not too bad at around £3 a bottle a bit less for most pints.
They do sell very well priced crates of beer and wine in the "On Board" (old duty free) shop that we took back to our room, Excellent prices on most designer perfume and after shave also.
The cabin was basic, a place to lay your head with bunk beds, but did have a desk and vanity mirror in the room and a en-suite with a nice warm shower, but we got a very good deal, (about £80 each for a group of 8 with two cabins) so I was happy, you can upgrade to a better room with a sea view and better accommodation.
Entertainment was good, however cheesy! Late Discos were good and bars were open well into the early hours. The ships pool was funny as it swayed a bit, Sauna was nice. We watched a couple of films in the 2 on-board cinemas which were up to date.
It was cool to see the Dolphins "Bow Ride" as we got crossed off the "shelf" into the deeper water in the Bay of Biscay, and there was a very good nature guide on the ship that offered a couple of informative free presentations.
I'd recommend booking one of the 3 trips when in the Bilbao port as we arrived early and there was not much to do.
All in all I was very pleasantly surprised a fun trip and nice break!
