“Not sure I loved this album when I first purchased it...”

written by on 26/03/2009

Good Points
The paring of the king and queen of Motown.....it had to happen.

Bad Points
Probably not as intimate or as fun as he sounded with Tami Terrell, but then again, how could it be.

General Comments
Not sure I loved this album when I first purchased it many years ago. Now after listening to it again, I do think it was well worth the effort. Diana and Marvin were Motown and it made perfect sense to pair them. I remember reading at the time critics said, they did not sound as intimate as the duets of Marvin and Tammi, or Kim or Mary Wells. Might have been due to the fact as I remember they were not in the studio at the same time recording. I do remember Marvin at the time thanking Diana for helping him to get his voice back.....all in all, it is Magic.
