“HOTEL AND LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT”

We have just returned from a 2 weeks holiday at the Horizon Beach Hotel in Stalis, Crete. I can honestly say that the Hotel and its location are perfect. As soon as you enter into the reception area the views are breathtaking, crystal clear waters and amazing views. The hotel itself is great and the staff very obliging, especially Poppy on reception who is always there and happy to help with any queries. The gentleman in the bar Theo is fantastic, fun loving, energetic and certainly good at his job, we spent some considerable time with him as he was such good fun to be around. The food was excellent, I must say that the hotel do a fantastic job trying to cater for all nationalities. There have been some bad reviews on this hotel and in my opinion they are very unfair.

Stalis is about a 10-15 minute walk away, here you will find beautiful beaches, plenty of pubs, restaurants, shops etc. something for everyone. Should you wish to venture further a field there is an excellent bus service just ask at reception for more details.

This hotel is unsuitable for anyone with walking disabilities as there are quite a few steps to go down to reach the beach path, which takes you directly from the hotel into Stalis.

My only downside to this hotel is there is no kettle in the rooms to enable you to have a cuppa upon waking, meaning you have to wait until breakfast, however, it was no big deal and didn't bother us, although some people did complain about this.

All in all we had a fantastic time, found the hotel to be excellent and staff great and we look forward to returning soon.


We have booked quite a few holidays with Olympic, and have found the service to be excellent, the website is easy to follow, the reps are knowledgeable and transfers and accommodation are always excellent.
