The staff were fantastic. they were always cheerful and helpful. The food was good and non stop if you wanted it to be.
The ports were not close to many places of interest. You needed to book excursions which were very expensive.
We have just returned from our first Thomson cruise, and it certainly won't be our last.
The whole holiday was wonderful. The staff were fantastic. We especially liked the fact that they could spend time chatting to you, and weren't hurrying you out of the restaurant. We enjoyed sitting with different people every night, at a time we chose, and always had good food and wine. We mainly had breakfast and lunch in the Lido self service but Dinner in the Compass Rose. Although we didn't try Scirroccos I was told that the food was first class.
The entertainment was great. Some of the singers and dancers in the Broadway show lounge were West End standard. The variety of shows was also good, There was something for everyone.
We were on the bottom deck in an outside cabin and we have no criticism of it at all. The bed was a kingsize double, the shower was hot and powerful and the room was always cleaned and tidied for us. We also had a different towel animal each day.
The main criticism I would have is that the ports were not particullarly attractive to spend the day. They tended to be a long way from the sights of interest. I also felt that a shop was needed to sell everyday supplies such as magazines, films, while in port.
Altogether a first rate holiday. The whole ship felt like a family, with all age groups represented. We would go back tomorrow if we didn't have to work.
