We had poor service from Booking.com having booked accomodation in Harrogate only to subsequently find that it was not in fact available. They could not find me alternative accommodation so I then had a last minute dash to find alternative accomodation myself which I did do via another booking site but it was very stressful and inconvenient.
I was at first impressed when Booking.com took the trouble of telephoning me and advising me that in view of their error and my inconvenience they would refund the cost of my new accomodation after I had stayed at it as it only amounted to around £300.
I have subsequently tried several times to e-mail booking.com to get my refund but now they are not answering my e-mails.
I do not like false promises and I will not be using the company again.
