Good Points
Makes delicious, smooth ice cream very quickly and easily

Bad Points
When the ice cream is nearly made the mixing paddle can reverse and undo itself from the machine

General Comments
The Magimix GEL22003 Gelato Chef generally good machine that works easily and well most of the time and makes delicious ice creams.



It has one major defect. When the ice cream is nearly ready and has gotten pretty stiff, the paddle mechanism will reverse itself to overcome the resistance it is finding. Unfortunately this means that the paddle motor winds itself off the top of the machine. It's particularly noriceable when making a stiff custard based ice cream.
