I recently purchased a GrouponVoucher for a holiday to Venice. To save time I shall bullet point the reasons as to why NO ONE SHOULD USE this company or the GrouponVouchers.
1) We booked a specific hotel and, before and during payment, this was fine - immediately after payment we were told the hotel we had booked and paid for was full after a series of excuses were used by Weekender Breaks to dissuade us from having the hotel we had booked (such as "they don't serve breakfast" etc).
2) We had booked a tour alongside the hotel we didn't get (deal = hotel + tour)....where to begin. Firstly, despite receiving confirmation of the tour via email we found no inclusion of said tour on our booking confirmation.
So I called up 4 days ago to ask why it had not been sent. Weekender Breaks apologised and assured me I would have an email within 24 hours. 24 came and went, no email was sent.
I called up the next day to enquire about the missing email - I was then HUNG UP ON, yes, WEEKENDER BREAKS HUNG UP ON ME TWICE after picking up the phone to my query. I was then assured the confirmation of the tour would be with me the following morning. I believe you can assume what happened next....this morning there was no email...disappointing. So I called up again... Same old - an email would be with me within the next few minutes….no email came. An hour later I called up at the end of my tether to be told that the tour was FULLY BOOKED and there was no space for me or my partner who had paid for this tour.
In conclusion, the employees at customer service provided appalling service and down-right lied to me, the customer who had already paid.
We would love to cancel but we are now stuck with this holiday.
Not only will we never recommend you but we will proactively warn people not to use your service and never to buy from your company.
