“Lindos Gardens Rhodes. Just what we needed !”

Written on: 13/06/2013

First time booking with Olympic holidays. We were looking for a week of relaxation and were not disappointed. Flight times were not the best and transfers were long and tiring.

However, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, a beautiful area, gorgeous views and plenty of lovely walks available.

The Lindos apartments were basic, but maintained by friendly staff. the views from our balcony were beautiful , well worth the steep climb to the
apartments closest to the infinity pool where it was lovely and peaceful.
Beds were not that comfortable, but linen was clean and fresh towels were left every day.

The infinity pool bar was open from 10-2pm , I never saw anyone buying from the bar, perhaps if the prices were comparable people would have used this service.

A couple of supermarkets on the main road were good for our basics and we enjoyed a nice lunch on our balcony most days.

If you like self catering and enjoy cooking on holiday you will find that the kitchens have a very poor standard of equipment, it was ok for us but not for people who have young children and on a tight budget.

Very hot during the day even though it was early in the season so we did not go out until after 300pm. Lindos is very busy during the day , one day I counted 32 coaches delivering tourists , so the old town was better visited later in the day.

In the evening, there is a great choice of rooftop venues to eat, expect to pay around 50 euros for a meal for two . The walk back to the apartments is steep in places but we sometimes got a taxi from the main square, around 5 euros.

Enjoyed the main beach, though it is very busy. Loved walking around the old town, nice shops and generally friendly locals. Plenty of ice cream and crepes/snack places. Lovely rooftop places for a cool drink during the day.

If you want luxurious accomodation, very busy nightlife or have poor mobility this is not the place for you. It is not the place for
stilleto heels !

For me, the infinity pool was too deep, and I could not enjoy it but we could have used the main pool which gets very busy and sometimes noisy.
The sunbeds were very comfortable and lovely views from this pool.

Overall, we loved this holiday and would return later in the season when it is cooler.

Olympic Holidays have an easy to use booking process, we will look to use this company again in the future. Their staff were friendly and helpful.
