went on special swiss tour may end 2013 with my wife. the tour was good BUT was promised to be put up in hotel RAMADA in Engelberg for 2 nights on all the correspondences until the day of check-in when we were taken to a below par HC central hotel.
-the hotel was filthy,
-small rooms,
-the dinner plates were wet everytime we had food,
-there was never anyone on reception and i had to call someone from the kitchen to deal with everytime i wanted something,
-the toilet door didnt lock (although didnt need b.w me and wife but shouldnt be fixed other way around in any decent hotel, the lock was fitted on the wrong side of the door)
-the dinner on day 2 was horrible, specially chicken dish which tasted like a week old, hard like rock.

on the whole, the positives of the tour were overshadowed by the negatives of the accomodation in engelberg. i'll have to think before i recommend this tour to my friends as STAR Tours didnt give what they promised, and the standard was sub-standard.
