It seems Lush just can't get a handle on what's going wrong in their stores. I actually worked for the company during the christmas period a couple of years ago - so i know how it works from within and its a shame to see nothing has changed. The staff are overzealous - that seems a pretty common complaint. I always say i know the products or that 'i used to work here' as soon as they jump on me. Sometimes a bit of conversation is nice but there's always a hint of desperation - and when you look at the prices you can see why. Lush will always have a cult following but i for one won't spend £25 on shower 'conditioner' out of principle. The products don't work that well for starters and there always seems to be a sense of superiority about the place, like their the best value and most 'fun.' Well, there are cheaper natural alternatives out there and i'm sorry but i'm just one of those people who doesn't need to turn getting clean into an event by using shower gel in jelly form or rubbing nice smelling playdoh into my hair. Some of the products really are innovative but collectively it all comes across a bit...juvenile and patronizing. And to think that masses of people are paying for it too...madness really.
