“Buggles, The Age Of Plastic”

written by meatloaf1966 on 25/05/2013

A very under rated group and album from 1980. Trevor Horn and Geoffrey Downes produced a beautifully crafted album, containing 8 brilliant tracks. Many people saw Video Killed The Radio Star as a novelty track, but they couldn't be further from the truth. Music should sell on the strength of the music, not the stength of the video that accompanies it. Take a look around you and you will see they are right, video HAS killed the radio star without a shadow of a doubt !!!!!! The song was about how video was killing real talent, and the proof is out there in abundance.
