“poor customer service”

Very disappointed with the customer service received. My husband and I ordered over £50 worth of pool inflatables only to find that one item for my son was missing, this item cost around £5 and was one of the cheapest items on the order. My husband emailed the company and was told that they would look into the matter, we then did not hear anything so we emailed again and again no response was received. A third email was sent asking them to forward the missing item, we have now received an email advising us that the warehouse is adamant that the item was sent, we are therefore feeling like we have been accused of lying, a £5 item on an order of £50?! Really? The company has advised that as a good will gesture they will refund the money, however, it should not have taken 3 emails and we should not have been made to feel like liars, given the money spent on inflatables I would have expected and apology and the item to be sent to us immediately. Therefore we will not use this company again as next time the missing item could be worth a lot more money and we do not wish to risk being left out of pocket. Yes we did sign for the delivery however it was a massive box and took some time to look through the items.
