I booked my honeymoon through lastminute.com - we couldn't afford a long break so decided to stay at the Isle of Wight for 2 nights. Booked the hotel in January 2013 and the night before we travelled 12 May 2013 realised I had no confirmation. Spoken to the hotel and they never received the money or confirmation of booking... last minute put us up in a sub standard hotel, after fighting them with two alternatives that were unacceptable after the hotel we initially booked.
They treated our problem like it was our error, accused me of not giving them enough notice of dealing with their error - hint is in their website name! and our now fighting me to the bitter end re: compensation and again making me feel as it is my error. Not what I needed the morning of the start of what should have been a relaxing honeymoon break.
They have no time for their customers.
