Variety of excursions
Bad overall service. Staff members didn't do anything more than they had to. On the few occasions that I had to visit the service desk area, staff were poorly trained, and I got a different answer depending on who I asked for assistance. It seemed that if they did not know the answer they just made something up. Communication on changes was very poor. Our visit to Hilo was cancelled due to ship problems. We were told that we would receive a ship credit of $50 each, but upon receiving the billing the $50 was per cabin.
Had to take cold showers for three days. Toilets would not flush in the morning. Sometimes there was a 10 - 15 minute wait until the toilet flushed. When calling to report the problem, the staff member simply replied "yes, we know. We took a cold shower also, and you are not the only one experiencing the problem". Cruise Director and staff did not mingle with anyone, but themselves and a chosen few. Life on the ship after 10pm was non-existent. Several nights we visited all lounges, and if they had 8 - 10 people in there it was a lot. The cruise mostly catered to couples, and it was very single unfriendly.
At this point in time I would not recommend the Pride of America NCL cruise. They need major staff training, and they need to hire people that are willing to service the clients. If they are not people oriented they should not be in the people business. The ship can have all the riches in the world, but with their current staff it can't help but fail.
