Same as the last post!
I only enquired then got a load of e-mails from Money Barn saying I'd been declined for finance. At no point during the whole call did I agree to a credit check.
As far as I was aware they need to verify your agreement to a credit check anyways and should get something online like an electronic signature, if not in writing. They did none of this. I even tried calling their bluff by using a different mother's maiden name when they rang back but they STILL discussed the finance with me.
It seems they have very little respect for the Data Protection Act and could possibly be prosecuted under the Computer Misuse Act.
This bunch did none of the checking that you would expect from a reputable company.
Seems I got the work-experience boy as well.
He rang me back telling me that I HAVE to call another company on an 0844 number to discuss the finance. So what exactly are Car Finance 247 doing for their commission?
I can only imagine that the first word starts with an F and the second word is all.
