“Abominable Customer Help Service”

I have been a customer of both RedStation and Streamline for almost 10 years now and had no complaints about either service.

That is, until something goes wrong with RedStation! They used to offer customer service over the phone, but now, without informing us, this is no longer an option, even for a long term customer.
One of my business websites went down after a migration that they had done, to which I promptly phoned them up. The result of this was that I had to communicate everything via e-mail - I am no web developer and them telling me to change certain settings etc was not helping the issue! (I tried what they said anyway to no avail)
The second time I called them up, the lady on the other end would not offer ANY assistance over the phone and told me if I created a support ticket someone would get back to me in a few hours! For a website that takes bookings and gets a good few hundred hits a day this is just not good enough.

This lady in question would not even give us her full name to refer to in later communications and refused to put me through to someone who could help (a customer of theirs for 10 years!).
When asked for management - she said they were unavailable and even when told that we would be reviewing them about this issue and their abominable customer service if they could not help, she still refused to ask management OR to put us through to technical support!

This is not the first issue I have had with RedStation but it certainly will be the last. Over the years I have gradually moved most of my domains and hosting to Streamline who respond fast and efficiently. The last of these will be moved today.

My advice is to stay well clear.
