CitySpreads have put together a really accessible trading platform that makes it easy to place spread bets and trade CFDs. I had all the information I needed at my fingertips - tradable items are divided into categories (shares, indices, commodities, etc.) and you can access charts for each item, which helps you to understand how well they have performed in the past.
The trailing stops are also really helpful for managing your risk without damaging the potential profits of your trade, and they’re reasonably priced too. New users can trade risk-free with the demo platform, as I did first of all - there is lots of helpful information on the CitySpreads website (in their ‘Education Centre’) that made it easy for me to get started.
I found that the range of trades that I could bet on was quite diverse, including traditional shares and indices such as the Nasdaq, along with commodities and a range of foreign currency exchange bets. All of these could be traded in the form of either spread bets or CFDs.
All in all, I found the service easy to get to grips with, which was great for a newcomer like me.
