A relative who has recently celebrated her 100th birthday naturally was sent flowers by several people.... after all, what else can you give a 100 year old? The Marks & Spencer delivery driver told neighbours that he was not allowed to lift the flowers out of his van, but was persuaded that on this occasion the recipient could not be expected to collect them herself.
What sort of a service is that! I wonder who lifts them into the van in the first place. Unbelievable!!
To their credit, when a neighbour reported this to the local M&S store, the manager was very apologetic and arranged for a gift voucher to be sent.
Maybe this is the fault of a contracted delivery service rather than M&S, but will not help their reputation.
The flowers themselves seemed very good, but I can't say how long they have lasted, as I haven't seen them since the day they arrived.
