If everything goes as planned Expedia is a great site, but the moment things go wrong they are no help at all. I recently planned a trip to Hawaii and even though I found the site helpful and the trip worth the money they really disappointed me in terms of their customer service. When one of our flights had mechanical problems and we missed the connecting one to the destination I called them to check in to see if there was anything we should do as we would no longer be following our planned itinerary. After waiting 50 minutes on hold the person I finally talked to was rude and not very helpful at all. When I calmly explained what happened all he said was "well what do you want me to do about it?" all he did was call the hotel and car insurance company, which we had already done.
