We booked 2 nights in a hotel outside of NYC. 36 hours before we were to leave our child became very ill. I called immediately to see if we could change the reservations to one day later. After repeated phone calls and being given the run around they could not work with me on that. They were going to charge a one night penalty even though the website says Expedia doesn't have a cancellation fee.
If I had booked through the hotel website I would have been able to make the change with no penalty.
I will never use again.
