I feel vulnerable when buying a car. Such a lot of money is spent and it has to be right. My experience of buying from Motorpoint Derby was memorable for all of the right reasons.
They gave me a price over the phone for the car I was exchanging, and on the day, there was no quibble over that.
The car was a previous hire car, which was as I expected. There were some small marks on the edge of the front doors, but the purchase price reflected that, and it was, in my mind, a very good price.
There was no pressure selling, either on the phone or on the site.
After driving it away, I noticed that there was no parcel shelf as advertised. I went back 6 hours later and told them and they promised to get one to me. A week later I chased this up on the phone and one arrived by courier three days later. I was happy with this, as I should really have checked before driving the car away.
All of the staff I dealt with on the telephone or face to face were polite, straightforward, and did not pressure me.
Finally, we are a two car family and will probably need to replace our other chariot next year. Motorpoint derby will be the first place we will look.
