Wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. We put an offer in on a property, the offer was accepted in writing. I might add that this was our dream property. Anyway we instructed a solicitor paid for the survey and the mortgage fee oh and the solicitors up front fee. A little time passed we had returned the legal pack and assumed all was good only to receive a call from Bairstow Eves Strood to say we had been gezumped. Now we were told that the property was off the market, a guarantee made by Bairstow Eves, I have checked, and the property can only be taken off the market if the seller instructs the agent, so, with a guarantee from the agent that it was off the market you would assume that this was the case. After making several enquiries to the agent why the property was still showing as for sale on all the websites we were told it must just be waiting to update!! Anyway you get the picture. If a franchised money spinning agent that will drop you like a stone is your cup of tea then sign up!!! Otherwise do your homework and use a reputable agent..
