“Val d'Isère Chalet Bonneval - AMAZING”

Written on: 12/02/2013 by KylieHowe (1 review written)

Firstly booking the holiday was easy, Harriet @ interactive resorts answered every single question I had. She explained different benefits of each chalet we were considering and even helped us with group booking discounts. Our chalet, transfers, ski passes and ski hire were all sorted by Harriet and we got a great deal.

Once booked the high level of service continued with frequent emails and a client login area where you could update dietary requirements, ski hire details etc.

Upon arrival at Val d'Isère we were met by the Ski Total rep Liam who directed us to the coach for our transfer. We hired a catered chalet “Chalet Bonneval” it is in the smaller resort of Le Fornet in Val d'Isère. The Chalet was perfect 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms that sleeps 10 people comfortably.

The website states –
Main cable-car & pistes approx 4 minutes' walk (400m) – This is true but learners who have lessons booked need to get to the nursery slope, this means walking to the bus stop 4 minutes’ walk away (buses run every 5 mins and are fab) a 5-10 min journey takes you there.
Ski back to the door (off-piste) – Again this is true but definitely for the more experienced skiers.

Our Chalet host Evie was and was an absolute angel. Daily we woke up to the smell of fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurts, bread, cheeses and hams as well as hot options daily of sausages, bacon, eggs and beans. This is just what you need when you have a day’s skiing ahead. We would also have a freshly made cake waiting for us each afternoon with tea and coffee, what a treat. In the evenings our host would cook up canapés and a 3 course dinner. Each evening was something totally different and lovely. It wasn’t fussy food, I was worried it may be very French or posh but it was perfect, soups, casseroles, cheesecakes etc.

Our Rep would visit each night with updates on weather, local events and options of nightlife and activities for the non skiiers of the group. Nothing was too much trouble, both the Rep and Host made our week fantastic.

I would not hesitate in recommending “Chalet Bonneval” to anyone, Interactive resorts were a pleasure to deal with and Ski Total’s staff were a joy from arrival to departure.
