“Refused my children entry over red tape issue!”

Son has joined as a member (he's 14) and daughter is to become a member on Feb 1 (8 days after I'm writing). Son booked a badminton court and took his sister to the club for a game - the plan was for her to use a guest pass he'd been supplied with. We'd been advised that, for best value, she should start her membership at the beginning of the month and use guest passes if she wanted to visit before then. Club refused her admission because she wasn't accompanied by an adult member. We challenged this and eventually spoke to 'Matt' who said he was the manager. He had terrible attitude, wasn't prepared to budge an inch. Definitely much more concerned with rules than common sense. A bruising experience and one that smacks of a couldn't care less attitude.
