I will never use Avis or Budget again. I booked a vehicle through Budget and was given a car by Avis in Bremen airport, I had the car for 3 days and used it for approx 100 Kms. On the day of the return flight the car would not start, I phoned the Avis break down and could not get anyone out to me so I was forced to make other arrangements to catch my flight. I was told to leave the car and drop off the keys at the airport. I then found that they had taken £264 from account with no warning or bill, on questioning this, I was told it was for damages, and later they said it was for the costs of retrieving the keys. They are now sending me on a wild goose chase in order to get the money back and have forced me to try and claim the money back through my bank. They have been very unhelpful and fraudulently took money from a customer.
