“Horendous Customer Service - Trafford Centre Manchester”

Absolutely terrible customer service!! I purchased a pair of Kurt Geiger designer shoes, I tried on the one off display which fitted so asked the sales assistant for a size 6 and paid for them. When I got home and tried them on, I went to walk in them and one of the shoes went under leaving me with a very very sore twisted ankle.
I drove the hours journey back to the Trafford Centre store at my expense to retun the shoes. I returned them to the sales assistant on the shoe counter who then got the Manager. The male manager was very abrubt, telling me 'there was no way the shoes could have done this as they are all fully checked before leaving the store.' I felt as though he was telling me I was in the wrong and had broken my own shoes - why would I break a pair of brand new shoes that have never been worn and return them the next day!!! I told him they had twisted my ankle to which he was not even interested. Not once did I hear the word 'sorry'. I asked for a full report on the shoes as I was informed they would have to send them back to Kurt Geiger. Reluctantly they took my details and said they would contact me. Didn't hear anything from Selfridges so after several phone call to them myself leaving messages I eventually got a call from the Manager. He told me Kurt Geiger had informed them that they didn't leave Kurt Geiger this way and that this was the end of the issue. How he can be a Manager of Selfridges is beyond me, he has no customer service skills, his attitude was appauling. No after service skills. Were very happy to serve me when they were taking my money off me! Wouldn't shop at Selfridges Trafford Centre ever again.
