“Quality has changed and is inconsistent”

For a couple of years or so I have had weekly deliveries from Riverford and have not had anything to complain about much, and when I did I found the customer service team both speedy and helpful.

I have found my local franchisee and driver very helpful

Until the BBC Food and Farming awards in 2012 all was well, but from that date the consistency of the baked products was not reliable and in the run up to Christmas, this was unacceptable. The Homity pies are consistently fabulous, and mince pies last year were great, but this year were underbaked as I found when I took them to a party, the Bakewell tarts had been reliable until just before Christmas when the one I had was underbaked as was the one I gave as a present to someone who was expecting a wonderful treat.

Previously I had told the customer service team that if the pies delivered at Christmas were undercooked, I would cancel all my orders. They were so i have.

The annoying thing is that when properly cooked, the pastry was divine, so it can be done. There is a possibility that they are pandering to yummie mummies who want to pass the products fresh from the oven as their own, but I want food that I dont have to cook.

I have cancelled all my ordersand will now have to find an alternative supplier
