“Never order from this company”

It is plainly clear that Forbidden Planet advertises items it does not have in stock. I placed an order 3 weeks ago and had received no order status update. I contacted them to find out what was going on and they said they didn't have the book in stock and had no idea when it would arrive. Presumably if I hadn't contacted them I'd still have no clue that this item would not arrive any time soon.
I'm sure that this practice is illegal. At the very least it's unethical.
In the future I shall use their website as a reference, but make my actual purchases from elsewhere. One word: shoddy.
