I used to love Dorothy Perkins, the clothes were cheap and of ok quality. Returning instore was alright so long you didn't buy a 'concession' brand.
Having now moved to Australia I did really miss them so took advantage of times when they had free international shipping. However I will NEVER buy anything from them again due to my experience!
I purchased a dress which arrived faulty (and was half price a week later). I could have lived with the price drop but not the gaping hole in the seam where a belt was attached.
Emailed them explaining the situation and they said to send it back as they would refund the postage. I posted it back to them and scanned the receipt and sent it to them.
After not hearing from them for a week I contacted DP customer service and asked what was happening. They informed me that they could not access my previously used card for privacy reasons and would have to call me up for card details (?!!). They then tried to call me ONCE but my phone was out of battery. They then didn't bother to call me at all until I emailed them what was going on two weeks later. They said they would try calling again. Again I waited and no call! I sent an email asking why not and they said they were 'investigating the matter and would contact me when the matter was resolved'. WHAT matter?? It seems like a pretty clear cut case of what to do! Now I still haven't heard from them and I doubt I will be receiving my postage costs due to DP incompetence! The number of lies and excuses for not providing me with a refund due to THEIR faulty products is astounding. I would recommend you never bother buying anything from their website because if anything goes wrong you will lose your money!
