“Store returns without a receipt”

After purchasing a tomy toy from the East Kilbride store I attempted to return itas it was purchased as a gift but the child already had one. I had thrown the bag away with the receipt, not expecting to be returning it. Staff made me wait around for the manager to then tell me I couldn't return it as they sell it everywhere. Manager wasn't willing to give me the time of day, clearly had other more important things to attend to. Wouldn't happen at Smyths....but I didn't purchase it from Smyths. Will shop there first next time
