I used this site to find a property, i was seeking a one bed flat in west London priced at 150k although Rightmove has a huge choice the majority are over priced all by estate agents . The properties you find on Rightmove are virtually the same as the ones you find on Zoopla, prime location etc. I soon realised that estate agents fees and Rightmove fees probably influenced the pricing of the properties on this site. Rightmove properties are only from estate agents so their is no competition. I eventually found my flat using a UK for sale by owner site . They have a completely different selection of flats for sale. I also used sites like Gum Tree but found a lot of the same properties you find on Rightmove. I found best selection of properties being sold by owners on Houseladder and TheLittleHouseCompany. I made my first purchase after talking with the owner and persuading them that as they were not paying an estate agent they could accept my lower offer. I saved about £10k ! The site I found my dream flat was not on Rightmove but listed by the owner for under £100 on The Little House Company. So my advice is never forget looking on sites like that as Rightmove choice is just like all the others
