“LUTON .Dirty and Badly Maintained”

I have been a member 10 years. It has being going downhill for years.
The men's showers only ever get sluiced out, not cleaned. There is mould on the ceiling,the wall tiles are covered in scale. In the changing rooms the floor covering is cracked and broken. Repairs consist of applying 'Hazard Tape'. The maintenance man is a joke. He cannot even put a screw in straight. Check out the finger plates on the doors upstairs that he has repaired. Machine maintenance is very poor.Many of the seats and pads are torn. there is rust on bearing surfaces. You tell the staff but nothing seems to get done.
The local Fitness First is closing. They are offering ex FF members membership for £35 pcm. This is half of what ordinary members pay. Needless to say we still have to pay full price.
The business is now owned by some private equity group. They appear to be trying to minimise outgoings whilst maximising income.They think they are fattening it for sale. All they are doing is driving existing,loyal, members away.
