On the 21st of October I ordered two computer monitors for my son. My first complaint is that the estimated delivery date was some two weeks after the order date. In the 21st century I can see no reason why it should take that long to deliver a package unless WAE's depot is in the north of England and the orders are being walked to their destinations.
My second complaint is that only on the 6th November, which was one of the
anticipated approximate delivery dates, my son was informed that due to
'stocking issues' the monitors were no longer available. I am not sure how
anybody can justify only notifying somebody over two weeks after ordering
that 'stocking issues' were being experienced. Has WAE+ not heard of
computers and stock control programs?
When my son called he was informed that his order, or any alternative that
he chose, any extra cost of which would be added to the cost of the
original order would take a further week to arrive.
Unsurprisingly he cancelled the order on the same day (6th November 2012)
but, as of today (4th December 2012), I have yet to see my refund on my
Credit Card statement. That means that WAE+ has had my money for over two
calendar months and one month since the order was cancelled. To me this
appears to be theft and I would certainly argue that interest should be
charged on the outstanding amount.
Customer services is appalling!
