Car sourced by Ins company whilst ours repaired.

Collected vehicle from local depot. On arrival home, saw the tax disk was 3 months out of date. Rang the depot the following day and was reassured it was taxed and they would ring me back. 5 days later, no call, so phoned them again and they promised to ring me back later. No call received. Rang them again 4 days later and told them to supply a tax disc or change the vehicle. They changed the vehicle. Whilst in possession of the first car we had to do a long journey so checked the tyres and found one tyre was 6lbs below recommended pressure.

The second vehicle was not taxed- it expired 3 days earlier, but they did bring a tax disc out to me the following day. Another long journey was ahead, so checked the tyre pressures and found that two tyres were 5lbs down. Is this not illegal?

When the car was due for returning, as our car had been delivered to our house following repair, the depot said that the hire car was 'off insurance'. They insisted we return it (but was it not uninsured?) I told the manager I was not happy and intended to make a formal complaint and he replied "brilliant" I challenged him on his remarks and he made the same reply- "brilliant", again in a manner to encourage me to complain.

However I see why he was not worried, as 3 weeks after I sent my letter of complaint to head office UK they have not replied. No wonder this company treats customers so badly as they do not deal with formal written complaints. Why should staff worry about complaints?

I did copy my Insurance company into this letter and they are dealing!
