“Booked one hotel, sent to another.”

We booked a 4 star all inclusive holiday in Rhodes with Hays travel in June 2012, agreeing to stay in the 3 star "annexe" saving £300, but still having access to all the facilities. On arrival at Rhodes airport, we discovered the hotel name had changed. The "annexe" was a sister hotel on its own site where we were told we had to eat and drink only in this so-called "annexe" unless we paid a suppliment of 340 euro to take "free" drinks & have a better choice meals in the hotel we had paid for. We informed Hays via our daughter that their web site was misleading and they altered it half way through our holiday. All the English holidaymakers who booked the 4 star hotel suffered the same fate.
Hays deny any responsibility for the holidays they sell. We have had no written reply or satisfactory explanation to date, the 20th November 2012, FIVE months after booking the holiday! They refused to give me the address of the omsbudsman because I apparently need 3 written replies from them first, but they won't reply in writing.
