Dealing with clearsky was a horrendous experience all the way through. We purchased our vacation package with Groupon, which we have done many times through other booking agencies and had nothing but great experiences. When we called ClearSky they initially didnt know what vacation we were talking about, and tried to book us to a trip to iceland. After a while they seemed to remember that they offered trips to Germany. We paid more for a weekend package, and noticed that for the whole month of December, only 4 were sold (2 were others). Clearsky insisted they were all sold out, and try to book us onto other trips. Then after a few minutes of discussion they told us their Groupon deal is over and sent me a link to an expired Groupon page and hung up on me. Of course the new deal was still active on Groupon. We called ClearSky back and suddenly there were trips to Germany, just not the ones we wanted or paid for! After much arguing, and being hung up on by ClearSky for firmly (although never in a rude manner) demanding that we get what we paid for, we were offered a compromise. To fly from Stanstead to the smaller airport in Frankfurt (1.5 hours away from the city)... this would see us land in Germany at 11:30 at night on Friday, and leave Sunday at 5 am... because of the distance from the airpot, that would mean we got one day in Germany, no sleep on Friday or Saturday night. Certainly not what we paid for.
Almost none of the options advertised are actually available, even if you purchase a deal as soon as it come sup....and I am shocked Groupon is allowing this frodulant service to be sold through their website. We promptly asked for a refund from Groupon. Groupon was excellent and we will gladly use them again.
